Reproductive Rights Erev Shabbat

Reproductive freedom is a Jewish value. Repro Shabbat provides an opportunity to honor the important Jewish value of reproductive freedom as we read Parshat Mishpatim, the portion of the Torah commonly used as the foundation of Judaism’s approach to reproductive health, rights, and justice.

A fierce advocate for human rights and reproductive justice, Ronnie Lavine works to educate civic leaders about Planned Parenthood’s mission. After retiring from her career in early childhood education, Ronnie served for 11 years as a volunteer pregnancy options counselor at Planned Parenthood of Nassau County’s Health Center.
