Temple Beth-El of Great Neck is an inclusive community. We welcome people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities to worship, study with us and celebrate Jewish holidays and life cycle rituals. Temple Beth-El’s membership encompasses a diverse group of singles, couples, and families, including interfaith, LGBTQ and individuals of all abilities who find a warm home at our synagogue.
Our clergy and congregants welcome new members when they enter our midst and help guide them to learn and grow at a comfortable, individual pace. Many non-Jewish partners of Jewish TBE members choose active participation at Temple Beth-El without conversion, while others choose to embrace Judaism. As a Reform congregation, we welcome – and recognize as Jews – the children of Jewish mothers or Jewish fathers whose families have chosen a Jewish life and affiliation.
Visit us. Join us for Shabbat services. Experience programs that are open to the public. Take a tour of our beautiful chapel and sanctuary. See our beautiful classrooms. Meet our clergy. We’d love to introduce you to our synagogue and members of our congregation. We look forward to meeting you!
Temple Beth-El provides a plethora of programs and experiences for our congregants. We currently offer specialized events targeted toward early-childhood, young and interfaith families, as well as others geared specifically for men, women, singles and seniors. One of our popular new groups, The Explorers, shares culture, art, music and camaraderie during day trips. Details about our events will be updated throughout the year. To find out more about our appealing activities and figure out which groups best suit your needs, call our engagement director at 516-487-0900.
