Temple Beth-El was Great Neck’s first synagogue and is the largest home of liberal Judaism in our community. We are proud to be the center of your social, educational, cultural, and spiritual needs – your Jewish home. Temple Beth-El is changing lives today and shaping our tomorrow.

Charitable gifts have built and sustained Temple Beth-El of Great Neck throughout our history. Support from congregants and non-members helps to provide the means by which we unify our community. Tzedakah underwrites our worship opportunities, helps provide our educational programs, and provides the means to heal our broken world throughout acts of lovingkindness and tikkun olam.

Your donations enable full participation in our community for those who might otherwise be unable to express their Jewish identities, including seniors, young families with children, and the less fortunate.

General tribute donations can be made in honor or in memory of a loved one online, by phone or in person. Tributes must be received by 12 p.m. on Thursdays to be included in the current week’s Shabbat Program. Please note that when you make a tribute donation in memory of a loved one, that person’s name will automatically be added to our Read Aloud list for Shabbat services. We are happy to discuss your interest in special giving opportunities to support specific areas of interest and naming opportunities.

If I am not for me, who will be for me?
And if I am for myself alone, what am I?
And if not now, when?”―Hillel

Did you know? Our Annual Campaign, known as the Eternal Light Initiative (ELI) is our most important fundraiser each year and helps bridge the gap between the full costs of the temple’s operations and the annual dues. Like every member of our temple is important, so is every dollar raised.

Please consider supporting our holy community and our annual fund through a donation to the Eternal Light Initiative.  Thank you for being a part of our Temple Beth-El family and for your generous support.
