Join us as Alan Freedman discusses “Jewish Sports Legends,” which looks at the history of the Jewish-American experience in sports from the turn of the 20th century until today. Jews in Sports is thought to be an oxymoron, and in this program he examines Jewish involvement in sports and how Jewish accomplishments in sports help offer a starting point for discussions of stereotype and prejudice. “Jewish Sports Legends” causes us to question the many stereotypes about diverse groups which we carry.
