Join us for Torah Study with Rabbi Micah Streiffer, founder of Laasok, discussing “Did We ALL Really Stand at Sinai?”

Jewish tradition says that we all stood together at Mt. Sinai to receive the Torah, but some texts hint that maybe it wasn’t quite so inclusive. Participants will explore some Midrash—both ancient and modern—to learn which voices are and are not included in that pivotal moment and ask what it means to build a Judaism that speaks for us all. Rabbi Streiffer will join us via Zoom. This event is in-person only.

Rabbi Micah Streiffer is the founder of Laasok, a virtual beit midrash designed to help liberal Jews feel Jewishly knowledgeable, authentic, and connected. Based in Toronto, Rabbi Streiffer is the host of the Seven Minute Torah podcast, which weaves together philosophy, spirituality, tradition, and social justice.
