Renewal Shabbat with Basya Schechter

Join us for a special Erev Shabbat Service as we welcome a very special musical guest. Songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and composer Basya Schechter has performed around the world as leader and founder of acclaimed world-music band Pharaoh’s Daughter. Blending sounds from Eastern Europe, the Arab world and Africa, Schechter has served as cantor and musical director for Romemu, Fire Island Synagogue and B’nai Jeshurun synagogue and has released seven albums.

Followed by a post-service Congregational Conversation on Prayer led by Rabbi Stoller.
