  podcast "OPHERcoming the Odds." Born and raised in Israel\, Opher brings 
 a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the world of history and culture.&n
 bsp\;&nbsp\;\nFollowing his service in the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) whe
 re he served as an infirmary sergeant\, Opher earned a bachelor’s degree
  in history from Hebrew University. He later completed a comprehensive two
 -year educational track at the University of Haifa\, immersing himself in 
 the tapestry of Israeli history\, culture\, geography\, and the study of r
 eligions.\n\nOpher’s passion for enlightening others led him to earn a c
 ertificate in tour guiding and he has two decades of experience leading to
 urs in Israel. He served as tour guide for Temple Beth-El's most recent Is
 rael trip and is visiting from Israel to give talks about history and the 
 current situation of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. His friendly demean
 or and remarkable ability to convey vast\, intricate knowledge in English 
 and Hebrew make him a highly sought-after lecturer.\n\nThis event is free
