 g Jr.’s important words continue to resonate with our synagogue\, our co
 mmunity and our country.\n\nWe are so proud to welcome our special guest s
 peaker for our annual Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Erev Shabbat ser
 vice\, Letitia James\, New York State Attorney General.\n\nLetitia “Tish
 ” James\, the 67th attorney general for the State of New York\, will key
 note Temple Beth-El of Great Neck’s extraordinary Martin Luther King Jr.
  Shabbat service on Friday\, January 13\, 2023\, at 7 p.m. The annual wors
 hip service will commemorate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s historic civil
  rights speech presented at Temple Beth-El 56 years ago. As the reverend
 ’s important words continue to resonate with the synagogue\, the communi
 ty and the country\, Temple Beth-El is honored to once again welcome the e
 ntire community to memorialize Dr. King and continue sharing his message
 —which is as relevant today.\n\nJames\, an experienced attorney and publ
 ic servant with impressive accomplishments\, is the first woman of color t
 o hold statewide office in New York and the first woman to be elected atto
 rney general. When she was nominated public advocate for the City of New Y
 ork in 2013\, she became the first woman of color to hold citywide office.
  Under her direction\, her office has handled more than 32\,000 constituen
 t complaints and has passed more legislation than all the previous public 
 advocates combined.\n\nLed by Rabbi Brian Stoller and Cantor Adam Davis\, 
 the service will include special music and choral highlights\, as well as 
 special readings selected for this meaningful event. The entire community 
 is invited to attend our Erev Shabbat Service.\n\nWhile a registration is 
 never needed to attend a Shabbat worship service\, for such a special occa
 ssion\, we invite you to let us know you'll be here so we can be plan for 
 setup\, security and our reception. Of course\, those who do not register
