As the reverend ’s important words continue to resonate with the synagogue\, the communi ty and the country\, Temple Beth-El is honored to once again welcome the e ntire community to memorialize Dr. King and continue sharing his message —which is as relevant today.\n\nJames\, an experienced attorney and publ ic servant with impressive accomplishments\, is the first woman of color t o hold statewide office in New York and the first woman to be elected atto rney general. When she was nominated public advocate for the City of New Y ork in 2013\, she became the first woman of color to hold citywide office. Under her direction\, her office has handled more than 32\,000 constituen t complaints and has passed more legislation than all the previous public advocates combined.\n\nLed by Rabbi Brian Stoller and Cantor Adam Davis\, the service will include special music and choral highlights\, as well as special readings selected for this meaningful event.
