DESCRIPTION:We invite you to join us at Temple Beth-El for a joint service 
 with Rabbi Jerry Blum and Temple Isaiah for a solemn and spiritually power
 ful service commemorating&nbsp\;Tisha B’Av.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;\n\nTisha B’A
 v\, the ninth day of the Hebrew month of Av\, is a day of mourning for tra
 gedies that have befallen the Jewish people throughout history. By extensi
 on\, it is also a time for marking pain and loss in our personal lives&nbs
 p\;and&nbsp\;the brokenness clearly present in our world today.&nbsp\;&nbs
 p\;&nbsp\;\n\nJust seven weeks before Rosh Hashanah\, Tisha B’Av also ma
 rks the beginning of the High Holidays season.&nbsp\;Our spiritual journey
  of&nbsp\;t’shuvah&nbsp\;starts on Tisha B’Av\, when we weep for the p
 ain we have sometimes caused&nbsp\;ourselves and&nbsp\;others by our actio
 ns.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;\n\nOver the next seven weeks\, our lamentation gives way
  to hope as we climb toward the light and promise of Rosh Hashanah.&nbsp\;
 Tisha B’Av\, sacred mourning is the first step on the road to renewal.&n
 bsp\;\n\nWe will come together to light the path\, transitioning into this
  sacred time of healing with songs and readings from Eicha\, the Book of L
 amentations\, each of us lighting a candle of memory for those we have lov
 ed and lost.\n\nWe will mourn together for what has been and is no longer\
 , and pray together for what might be: that we may soon know redemption\, 
 wholeness\, and peace.&nbsp\;“Ba-yom ha-hu yihyeh Adonai echad ush’mo 
 echad&nbsp\;– on that day God will be one and God’s name will be one.
