Goals of Temple Beth-El
of Great Neck Religious School
The goal of Jewish education within the Reform
Movement is to deepen Jewish experience and knowledge for all Jews, so as to
strengthen their commitment to God, their identification with the Jewish people,
their involvement in the Temple, their participation in Jewish life, and their
determination to live as Jews.

Religious School Mission Statement
 |
Temple Beth-El strives to provide each
student with a comprehensive Jewish education in a warm, positive environment.
It is our goal to inspire each student to become a vital part of our Temple
community and to build, throughout his or her years in the school, a sense of
Reform Jewish identity and the foundation for a lifelong commitment to Jewish
living, learning and the practice of mitzvot. |
 |
We strive to provide an environment where
students can engage in cognitive and experiential educational activities that
deepen their understanding of God, Torah, and Israel. Our program encourages
students to explore and question their relationship to Judaism while
instilling a sense of love for Jewish traditions, practices, history, texts
and values. |
Shimon, the son of
