ADULT LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES AT TEMPLE BETH-EL "MAKE TORAH STUDY A REGULAR PART OF YOUR LIFE" (ETHICS OF THE SAGES) The Adult Learning Committee of the Temple invites every member of the congregation to take part in at least one of a myriad of opportunities for study available this year. Choose from among on-going weekly classes, intensive study programs, or occasional lectures and discussions. No matter what you choose, you will find that learning can enrich your life and deepen your connection to our Jewish heritage. (See the bulletin for learning opportunities sponsored by different groups within the congregation, such as Brotherhood, Women of Reform Judaism and Club Chai.)
** NEW COURSE ** LUNCH 'N LEARN - TUESDAYS AT 12:30 P.M. If you are interested in serious study, you can now add a special treat to your lunch hour: learning in the good company of fellow congregants, led by our Rabbis and Director of Education. Bring your own food -- we'll supply spiritual nourishment (plus coffee and dessert)! During this first year of Lunch 'n Learn, we will explore, in depth, the great literary works of the Bible: the Prophets and the Writings. Lunch will never be the same once you've heard the powerful call of Jeremiah, the passion of the Song of Songs or the poignant tale of Ruth. Lunch 'n Learn will meet on the first and third Tuesdays of the month, from 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. in the Library, beginning on October 20. Please RSVP to Joan in Rabbi Altman's office if you are interested in participating.
